Yesterday was a very busy day yet again.
Met up with Hui Yee for tutorial discussion in the morning. Then its tutorial class for the whole afternoon.
Afterwhich, met my family for dinner before heading to the hospital to visit my granny. By the time we left the
hospital, it was already 9.45pm. We then headed down to East Coast Park's McCafe to chill, stroll and unwind.
Lots of people hanging around! What a sight!
Strolling down the pavement, feeling the gentle sea breeze after a cup of mocha cafe is just simply the best way to unwind.
Granny is still the same, except that i see a lot more will power this time round. Full of energy when she talks,
unlike the last few times where she seem to be lost and disorientated due to the side effects of the jab.
Perhaps its the radioactive treatment that has helped her.
It has been a long time since i felt her hands warm.
Well, today's another day to be looked forward to!
Will be heading town this afternoon! Yay! It has been a long, long time since i head town with my mum-
everyone's been shuffling to and fro from the hospital to home.

Yes, yet again nothing much at work today. =)
My parents are out of house already. Went for their dance lesson- Cha Cha and Rock 'n' Roll.
Well, good for them. At least they are enjoying what they do. That's what matters.
Afterall, life is all about choices.

I love my job.
There is nothing. Absolutely nothing for me to do today. =)
Been surfing the net, talking on the phone and the best part is, i get paid.
*WIDE GRIN*
Reached office at like 9.20am when i'm supposed to start work at 9am. Nothing installed for me so i was told to do whatever i want. =) the only condition- be discreet.
Now that's easy.
This is the best job i've ever gotten so far. Really.
The deals are fanstastic. =)
I get to wear what i like, do what i like, have longer than usual lunch breaks, absolutely heaven!-not forgetting i get paid for all these.
Hey, i can even eat whatever i like in the office!
There are chips, sugar-free mints, chocolate milk-packeted, water, snacks...
Everything is done and yup, i'm basically chilling in my room.
*Grin*

What a busy week.
Been shuffling from work to school, to tuition place and to NUH. That's at least what's happening for the past weeks.
*Tired*
Well, granny's condition is not that optimistic. Stronger jabs have been given and the side effects kicked in almost as immediate.
Boy, its really a painful sight. =(
*yawn*
I need to sleep. My eyes are really heavy and i have a tuition early the next morning, plus after which, it would be NUH.
I love my life.
I'm hoping for the best for grandma.

i'm going out at 8.30am.
Spent the whole day at NUH yesterday.
Seeing my granny, or anyone suffer right in front of me is the worst thing that could ever happen.
There is nothing much people around can do.
The pain is so unbearable that 2 jabs have to be given in a day.
Each jab will normally last for 8-12 hours and indeed, once the 12th hour is up, at least that's for yesterday, the pain starts its toll again.
(Science is really powerful. Just a jab, and immediately all unbearable pain seem to vanish)
Seeing her face cringe and legs shiver because of the pain, I felt really sorry.
I dont know what to say, or what to do to make her feel any better. My aunts were there holding her. The maid helped massaging her.
I felt really helpless. Or rather, everyone feels helpless in easing the pain.
Jab, is the last resort.
( There are side effects from the jab itself.)
We then heard from the nurse that she is slightly disorientated on Friday night.
At this point in time, given her condition and complications, i guess everyone is prepared for the worst.
This is life. Facts of life.
Witnessing all that has happened around me, I now understand the importance of tresuring and cherishing each and everyday.
Each and everyday is a gift.
I am grateful for all that i have and yes, i thank HIM for guiding me throughout and giving me the breath of life.

yes, yes, I am in the midst of working right now.
hahahs. just thought of coming online to blog since i'm quite free now. =)
Well, where shall i start?
was coming home from tuition yesterday when my sister called to inform me that my grandma (paternal side) has been hospitalised. I got home at like 9 pm, by the time i wash up and dine, it was around 10pm already.
My parents then came back from the hospital and they seem really tired.
Really hope my grandma is fine. Even though i'm not as close to her as my other cousins, I feel for her, and i really want her well.
Today, she will be doing scanning and scope.
Well, i'll just see how things go.
Also, suppose to go night safari today as well but Annie messaged to say it was cancelled already.
Just as well.
or so i thought.
Anyway, i might be meeting up my Rach and Val later for dinner. See how things are later. Right now, can't confirm anything.
Hopefully granny is fine. If so, i'll visit her on Saturday at National University Hospital (NUH).
(Since i will only make it home at around 7pm. By the time i'm done, it will be around 8pm? So, i guess its quite late already since visiting hours are like 6pm to 8pm?- at least that's the case at K K hospital.)
I guess that's the plan for now.
=)
Life is precious and I treasure mine.

It was a day well spent again. =)
Had IBM class this morning and then after which, lunch at Takashimaya. Apparently, the food festival is on again.
hahahs.
Bought the D24 durian fritters and mochi. Had Japanese cuisine- rice wrapped with egg plus some side dish. Filling.
Shop around for Valerie's pressie-turning 20th this 16th. Bought a very nice, classy pair of earrings from Chomel. It will look good on her. =)
Bought lunch for my brother and I was off to work. I came to realize that there is a direct bus to K K hospital! - Trans Island 851. Went to work at around 2pm.
During work time, went out to get some snacks- waffles from Prima Deli. NICE!
Busy day yet again. Collating, everything.
After work, met up with Val to shop and have dinner.
Life is wonderful.

Yesterday was busy. Just the 1st day at work, my colleague and I were sent down to the mask-fitting workshop at 11am. *laughs*
So what this workshop is actually to teach us about the correct way of putting on mask. We were given what they call the code-1862 mask. There and then, test were conducted to see if the mask was fitted on properly.
Nurses helped to fit a transparent covering over the head and injected a bitter-tasting spray. We then have to tilt our heads in all directions.
Test is considered pass so long as the bitter-tasting spray does not seep through the mask. I saw nurses retaking tests. I passed it at one go.
Fun!
Lunch was at Bugis. *grins* Took the shuttle bus there and yup, lunch was around 1hr 40mins? *hahas*
Its really busy late afternoon.
I had to draft out publicity mails, co-ordinate with various companies regarding semainars and functions to be held in KK hospital.
(Not all in a day of course. *hahas*)
So at the moment, there are the Runs-New balance Real run, SAFRA run, the Kid's Central Live! project, everything. Before I forget, there is also the collating of the President's Challenge Donation that i'm handling also. Really a mouth FULL.
Busy.
But enjoyable.
By 6pm, I was done for the day.
At around 8pm, I headed for school. Tiring but manageable.
Hui yee bought cakes from Secret Recipe~ White chocolate macademia and the chocolate chip cheese. YUMMY!
Fantastic!
I love my life.
Right after this, I'm preparing to go for work.
=) loves it!

I'm starting work on Monday.
Just yesterday, I went for an interview for the post of a welfare co-ordinator at KK Women's and Children's hospital. So i will be there working till my school officially starts.
On top of that, I will also be having tuition twice a week and will also be attending ME and IBM. Its a mouth full, yea i know. Looks like I'm all packed with work.
I'm just going to spend my weekends as carefree as possible, like how i always do-shopping, chill-outs, relaxing and stuffs. Yea, i'm sure it'll continue this way. Life has got lots to offer. =)
Ok, so at 3pm later in the afternoon, I'll be having my chill-out in town.
(i just need 15mins to get to town that's why im still at my computer desk at home.)
hahahs.
loves it.
After which, dinner with my JC pals.
Life is great.

I'm like so, so tired today.
Slept near midnight yesterday and by seven this morning, I have already climbed out of bed. By nine, I'm downstairs waiting for bus to school.
At 9.20am, i reached school (lesson starts at 930am) . Soon after, this auntie-looking administrator came up to the lecture room and started her rantings on the punctuality of students, especially the international students because according to her, they are always late.
So here's the deal from her:
If one is 5 minutes late, attendance is considered as 0.75
If one is 6-10 minutes late, attendance is considered as 0.50
If one is 11-15 minutes late, attendance is considered as 0.25
If one is late for more than 16 minutes, attendance is marked as 0.
Before i forget, she appointed 2 of the early birds to be the "class monitors"-responsible for attendance taking.
I seriously don't like the idea of treating us as primary school kids. Really.
Such bureaucracy must go and should be done away with!
What we need is liberty!
Darn.
So im back home now, penning down this morning's episode in school.
I'm sleepy. *yawn*
I'll just have a power nap i guess.
Right, so shower first. =)

Hahahs. =)
Woke up this morning and i felt really, really good! It just struck on me that yes, i have been treasuring life the way it should be. A sudden thought, so to speak.
What a consolation!
=)
Though its still considered as the school holidays right now, I'm attending school twice a week for both Managerial Economics (ME) and IBM.
ME is really interesting and it fascinates me already. Its very detailed but, at the same time, easy to comprehend. At least this is the impression I get after attending the 1st lesson.
Sandra is still as serious as before. *grins*

Just finished watching the "body snatchers of Bangkok" featured in the national geographic channel.
These "body snatchers" are actually trained voluntary groups that help collect corpses in the bustling city whenever there are cases of fatal accidents.
They help to restore rest to the dead and as a mark of respect, transport the body to the hospital and then to the temple, waiting for burial the following day.
The youngest member of is actually 13. So, it seems remarkable that at such tender age, she already knows the exact procedure of handling corpses, paying due respect at the same time.
The Thai(s), mainly Buddhists, believe in reincarnation.
They believe that in contributing to the society, it helps to accumulate credits for a better reborn in the next life.
This is thus, one of the many factors that motivate them in being part of the voluntary group.
Watching the program, it also reminded me of the fragility and the vulnerability of life.
Accidents due to reckless driving, drink and drive causes fatality and it also spells grieves for family members.
To all drivers, please be safe on the road. Obey the traffic rules and be alert at all times. If you drink, don't drive.

Finished marketing with mom at the newly renovated Tiong Bahru Market. Had breakfast there and it was, as usual, jammed packed with people.
There were long, incredible queues that stretches from the stall all the way to the staircase landing. So long. My goodness!
Stalls that shared similar traits are that of those selling soya bean milk, yong tau hu, lor mee, carrot cake etc.
The market area was also packed with lots of folks, aunties especially.
Some were pushy, others were just crowding around.
There were people shouting from one end to another and everywhere you turn, you see people busy with buying and selling. Lots of commotion, a perfect example of how a market looks like.
The whole market area is reasonably clean to my surprise. The area is dry, the air is good, most stallholders practice good hygiene.
No fishy smell, at least nothing of that sort. Perhaps it is due to good air ventilation.
Back at home, my brother is busy with his X box console-playing one of his 15 favourites, HALO 2. (i just can't understand what's so interesting and fun about HALO series.)
Well, so to speak, he gets his 2 hours of gaming every weekend considering he finishes all of his homework on most fridays.
Not too bad i guess. At least he knows how to strike a balance between his work and play.

Was supposed to meet up with my ex-collegues today but it was postponed to next weekend. Haven't seen them for ages! Boy, i miss them. Looking forward to the outing with them next week.
=)
Yummy. Had durian cake from Ritz Carlton yesterday and its really Delicious. Absolute heaven.
I miss the dinner at Ritz Carlton- its like a buffet spread, where the service is excellent, food excellent too. Hahas. Guess I'll ask dad to head down to Ritz Carlton some time soon!
So probably mom and I will head down to Takashimaya to have our facials done later today. After which, we'll have high tea as usual in the afternoon and do some shopping at Paragon. It has been quite some time shopping at Paragon. Its mainly Centrepoint and Tangs whenever my mom goes shopping... Its time for a Change!
Hahahas. =)
Just remembered, Inkstation called me yesterday. Think its either Jeffery or Jeremy who called. Sounds like either one of them though. So, i was informed that there will be a gathering for all its staffs involved in the PC show next week. So that roughly fills part of next week's schedule.
I'm off to prepare for the day!
